Lyn commenced are dancing career at the age of 7 at Richmond Baptist Calisthenics Club and at the age of 11 was selected as a Junior State Representative for 1965. She went on to represent South Australia in several State Teams (all championship class) in 1967, 68, 69, 71 and 73.  In June, 1971 Lyn won the title of SA’s Most Graceful Girl and in October of the same year on to win the title of Most Graceful Physical Culture Girl in Ballarat, being the youngest competitor to win this title at that time. In 1972 at the tender age of 18 she was appointed teacher of the Junior State Championship Team and although this was her first state team they gained ‘Runner Up’ in the Aggregate. Lyn was a full time Ballet Student at Joanne Priest Ballet School for 5 years and completed her Elementary, Intermediate and Advance Examinations. Lyn passed examination for the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing covering Theatrical, Classical, Modern and Tap. Lyn taught Junior, Intermediate & Senior State Champ Teams in 1974, 75, 76, 77, 79 & 80 taking out 6 Australian Aggregates & one Runner Up. 1978 Lyn dedicated her year to train her sister Wendy for Winning the Most Graceful Physical Culture Girl in Ballarat, making history with the fact that two sisters had never been successful both winning this title at that time. Was teacher and choreographer of Fulham Calisthenics College, Marion Calisthenics Club, Paralyn Calisthenics College and Lyneece Dancing School. Her 1986 ADOT performed for Her Majesty the Queen at the Wayville Showgrounds. Was awarded the Telecom Award of Merit 1986. Adjudicator for the Royal South Street Society Calisthenics Competitions between 1981-1986. Head Teacher and Choreographer of the Australian Drill Dance Team from 1981-2008, taking teams overseas to America, Japan, South Africa and Seoul. Choreographer and Instructress of the Australian Drill Dance Team who performed with SA Police Band in the 1990 Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Adjudicator of the Miss Drill Dance TeamInternational Competitions. Instructress and Choreographer of the Southern Stars for Football Park. Instructress and Choreographer of the Central All Stars Cheerleaders. Choreographer of the SANFL Half Time entertainment from 1984 to 1988. Instructress and Choreographer of Movement Floats for the Credit Union Christmas Pageant 2006-2018. Co-Teacher of 2017&18 AVV Masters Orange Team and co-coach 2019 Junior 1 team.
